Terms of Service

1. The service

Artificial Writing provides tools to estimate whether text was written by AI, check text for content copied from the web, score writing quality, and generate and edit text. By using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Results are estimates

AI-likelihood results are statistical estimates and can be wrong. Originality checks only cover the pages our search can find and read. Don't rely on any result as the sole basis for an academic, employment, legal or disciplinary decision about a person.

3. Your account

Keep your password and API keys secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. One person per account.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the text you submit and the drafts you generate. You give us permission to process and store your content only to provide the service to you. Texts are saved only to your account. Only submit text you have the right to submit.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, to violate academic-integrity rules that apply to you, to overload or scrape the service, or to resell API access without permission.

6. Plans, limits and the API

Plans include monthly limits shown in your dashboard. API access is included in Pro. Pro costs $12 USD per month, billed in advance through Stripe, and renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Account & plan; Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and payments already made are not refunded except where required by law. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately. We may change prices, limits or features with reasonable notice.

7. No warranty; liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
